Paul Ainsworth – the chef and restaurateur whose fish is considered by Harden’s reporters to be the best in Padstow – is to open his first hotel next spring, reports Caterer & Hotelkeeper.
The six-bedroom Padstow Townhouse will add to Ainsworth’s coastal empire, which he runs alongside his wife, Emma. It will open on the site of the 18th century Tregea Hotel, in the heart of the seaside town, overlooking the Camel estuary.
Ainsworth’s existing properties are fish restaurants Paul Ainsworth at Number 6 (pictured) and Rojano’s in the Square, both also in Padstow. Watch out Rick – looks as if there may be a challenger in ‘Padstein’!
