Upmarket sushi spot, Roka, which now has restaurants in Canary Wharf, Fitzrovia and Mayfair, will open a more casual offering this autumn in the form of the Shochu Kanteen. Located below Roka Charlotte Street (pictured), the underground Shochu Lounge will launch this informal canteen in celebration of its 10th birthday on 15 September.

Open for lunch only, Monday-Friday, Shochu Kanteen will offer a quick pit stop for bowls of Tokyo-style ramen, or Japanese-inspired salads of edamame and mixed beans. As well as the usual shochu-based cocktails, the bar will also serve up a selections of fresh fruit juices.
