Summary
Good all-round, if limited, feedback on this trendily designed ‘café and kitchen’ at the back of The Greenman complex, which serves an all-day ‘brunch & lunch’ menu.
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

Owner's description
Jack Rabbits is a modern, bustling and welcoming cafe nestled onto the back of the historic Greenman 18th Century Coaching Inn, in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. The cafe offers both healthy (Smashed Avocado & Mango Salsa on Toast) and indulgent (Croque Monsieur Benedict) menu options for brunch and lunch service. They try wherever possible to use local and seasonal ingredients, and the specials boards change every few days to showcase the best produce they can get at the time.
If you just want a coffee and a cake, every cake is homemade on site, including the freshly baked bread - their speciality is scones with unique flavours! Enjoy all of these bakery options with the finest coffee available in Derbyshire. Their baristas make hot caffeinated drinks exactly how they should be: honest, strong and perfectly sized. The cafe feels fresh and vibrant, with a large outdoor terrace for al fresco dining, and a menu suitable for 'Little Bunnies'.
Headed up by award-winning husband and wife team, Pete and Laura Dale (of The Dining Room), this cafe comes with their excellent standard of service and taste, making it a destination for Ashbourne and further afield.
