Islington, Caribbean Restaurant Guide

Musician YolanDa Brown's Islington Square venue has been bankrolled by a £250,000 crowdfunding drive. It will showcase live jazz, soul, reggae and gospel music, with a menu inspired by recipes handed down through generations of mothers across the Caribbean, Africa and South America.

“Super-creative and super-tasty Caribbean food is served in a cool and buzzy setting” at siblings Jordan & Chyna Johnson’s neighbourhood restaurant and cocktail bar north of Islington’s Chapel Market. The surprise is that it’s vegan! with intriguing plant-based substitutes in dishes such as ‘saltfish’ sushi; Bajan fried ‘fish’ tacos; and ‘Oxtail’ chow mein.
